Wind Riders

A 3×3 Open-Meteo wind forecast over the US Northeast is the arena. Each rider is a tiny neural net (wind, bearing, fuel → thrust, turn). A genetic algorithm breeds the weight vectors that reach the eastern goal before fuel runs out.

Chapter 11 (Neuroevolution). Canvas axes are real lon/lat. Arrows are the nine forecast samples. When fuel hits zero, thrust cuts out and the rider only drifts on wind. Orange trails still have fuel; gray are empty.
